Plekanec is an upgrade at #4C and gives the Leafs better depth going into the playoffs.

This is a solid move by the Leafs.

You need depth in the playoffs, you need experience and you need a good 2way guy. Plekanec is no longer to light it up for you, but they don't need that... and he might chip in a little more than Moore.

Rychel and Valiev were not future Leafs. You don't like to give up the second, but when looking at the stupidity of the Nash deal... This one doesn't look bad for the Leafs.

They might parlay Moore into a 4th or something... or just keep him for depth.

If the price is a 3rd or worse I'm into it. Hainseys game has fallen off a cliff since he's come back and Zaitsev hasn't been much better either.

If it's the case of not obtaining a natural righty ..then probably hammer would be their first choice? ..but Cole. .would possibly be a fit. .I'm not sure. .haven't seen him play

He's quiet except when he's lighting someone up. Pens are going to miss him, but was necessary to move cap for Brassard. He honestly has been one of the best D on the team. He's the perfect modern day defensive D-man. His offensive skills are underrated also. He creates a lot of neutral zone turnovers with great reads and gap control.

And there it is. The Lou move nobody sees coming. Montreal.

Plecky is a good acquisition and Baun sounds like a solid prospect.

Montreal gets some needed youth. Valiev will get a chance as will Rychel there.

Have to figure Bozak may be moved. I doubt Moore goes anywhere. Plecky wasnt acquired as a fourth line and Bozak isnt an energy type.

Lol. He would have been cheaper than Brassard....but, Brassard is still under control next year and the pens are only on the hook for 3 mil of his hit. So, I was fine with either.

But, Ottawa will probobly move him for a mid round pick and his prorated salary is cheap....and, he's still in his prime.
