i see them bringing Sanford up and hopefully moving Berglund, Sobe and Allen.

I hope anyways

we could see maybe a couple other trades that will benefit us im probably dreaming.

could we move Jbo and Carl while we are at it

My thoughts are the Stastny move was a play to set up another move, presumably Alex G thought I guess it could be Hoffman.

When I heard Lehner asked for a trade, I was thinking - Allen + for Lehner?

If Murray is hurt significantly, would Pitt go after Lehner?

Man, unless some of the prospects have a good camp. I do not like our center depth at all next year unless we make a move here soon.

Hurt his other shoulder. Wait, didn't Berglund do that too?

Per Wiz on Erik Foley before his draft - Another quality US-born prospects who is an excellent forechecker, and fearless "take it to 'em" forward. A good passer and emerging offensive skills. Has gotten physically bigger and added some girth. Don't believe those who think he cannot handle the rough going; he is very good in the battle areas and on the wall. It is just a matter of growing his entire game a bit more and committing to Providence College will give him the time to develop both his physical and hockey side.

My notes - During his first year in the USHL, he had 27 goals which was 3rd among first-time USHL draft-eligible forwards. You have heard of the two guys in front of him, Kyle Connor and Brock Boeser, as they are enjoying great rookie years in the NHL this season.

I feel for you fans in St. Louis. I would not expect them to sell out while only 2 pts out of a playoff spot. The first will probably be about 27-29th in the draft while the fourth is only there if Foley doesn't sign. Jets didn't want Foley anymore because he will play another year in Providence and then is a free agent. I assume your GM feels he can sign him before this happens. Good prospect though as the above scouting report suggests. Jets had the envious problem of having way too many top prospects of which there just were not enough roster spots even several years out. Foley was expendable.

I truly hope St. Louis makes the playoffs for you fans. It would be ironic if they faced the Jets in the first round though.

Go out there and Tank boys. If we can slide into a top ten pick either via free fall or extreme draft lottery luck I think we get to hang onto that first from the Schenn trade giving us 2 firsts this year.

this is why I have had thought trading Tarasenko should never be ruled out.

When Backes was leading them to their deep run, Allen still was incapable of keeping the starting job, despite being given every opportunity. Allen's mental fragility has nothing to do with leadership. And the Blues can't just hope and pray every year that Allen doesn't let in 2 bad goals in a row then fall apart for 2 months right before playoffs.

When Blues weren't succeeding with Backes as Captain, it was on a roster that wasn't near the salary cap, or they were easily making playoffs but not taking the next step. They were never completely collasping. They lost 6 in a row on rare occasions, but never like this, with no signs of fight. I don't ever remember Backes coming out after losing his 5th in a row and complaining about the fans.

I can’t disagree with much here. I’ll say that the focus of my thoughts was on mental toughness and finding another gear when behind on the score board. Steen and Stastny showed deminished skill this year. Berglund and Sobotka are not worth much. Our fourth line doesn’t have anyone clamoring for third line minutes. Not sure how the team’s skill level is much better than those Backes teams.

I also don’t disagree with the notion that the Blues should move on from Allen. I suspect that they’ll bring up Husso next year and keep Allen, though I’d love to see something different.

I hope Stillman or Armstrong ripped the players new bumholes after the commentary on booing. Nobody likes to be booed, sure. Guess what? If you’re making millions of dollars and you can’t work your ass off to avoid embarrassing yourself while fans are paying between $25 to $200 to see you play?
