Rangers have some problems----- Dolan being owner isn't one of them. |

Paul Stastny was just moved for a first round pick. I'm gonna kill somebody if they don't move McDonagh. - tomburton99
Why should they move McDonagh, if the three prime teams interested in Tampa will not include Sergachev, and with Toronto & Florida not having yet made any worthwhile offer to consider? I have no problem if they do not even trade McDonagh at Draft time, since he can mentor their younger d'men who will be here next season, especially if Staal should not be around. A $7M per for McDonagh is better for them than a minimum of $12M per for Karllson. |

Honestly this is the most exciting deadline in a while. - rangerdanger94
Is it? Doesn't seem like much is happening in comparison to past deadlines. Yet at least.

It's just starting now in the final 3 hours with teams becoming desperate to deal. |

It really is a catch-22 for this blog. If the right return isn't there, the Rangers won't trade him, and people will b*tch. If they trade him for a less than optimal return, people will b*tch.
My opinion, they do not need to trade McDonagh. They only should if they get a great deal. And that goes for several other players as well.

Johnny Oduya: Has been claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Flyers. - jimbo83
Good pickup by the Flyers, he'll fit in well. |

Yeah, I am sure that it will. I am also curious to see whether Tampa does anything, or they are just going to sit there and watch Pitt and Boston get stronger.

Dolan gets a lot of hate but I don’t know why. If I was a knicks fan, I get why. But as a rangers fan, he’s been a great owner. Doesn’t mind spending cash, keeps his nose out of the GM’s business, and is seemingly on board with a rebuild. - rangerdanger94

I care little about Karlsson. And know the Rangers won't sign him. Be better SAVER. We're talking Mcdonagh here. |

If Zuke was going to get traded, I thought Winnipeg was the best destination. Since they gave up quite a bit for Stasny, I think Zuke might be safe... |

Me too. Which is fine. Gotta have some vets around to mentor the kids. |

By the way... #Jets top 4 defenseman, Tobias Enstrom just left the morning skate with, what looks like, a bad injury. So the Jets add Stastny and lose Enstrom in the matter of minutes. |

Told there is a lot of activity on Ryan McDonagh. Obviously no guarantee, and Rangers could wait til the wire or stretch til Draft, but my understanding is McDonagh is basically in waiting mode. |

With the prices where they are at. Mac, Spooner, Miller, and Hayes all should be heavily shopped. |
