So----- after seeing Spooner play last night, do we want to re-sign him or just flip him in trade? He is playing this year on a $2.85 mil contract. As a RFA for next year, it is believed he is looking for raise to between $3.5 to $4 mill/season.

I say KEEP him, it allows us to get rid of DD and will keep Miller on wing in future!

Interest in Evander Kane has picked up, due to Buffalo being willing to lower their initial demands. Once Kane is dealt, it would likely open the trading market for additional forwards to be moved among Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Pageau, possibly Hoffman, and others.
In being short at center, Gorton should at the least, talk to Ottawa on Pageau, who has two more seasons left on his contract at $3.1M each.
