All about the first rounder. It’s a very strong return. Plus the rangers have had some success with young dmen so I’m hoping that continues. I would’ve rathered a forward but still happy about the trade

We need above average prospects, we've gone this route with no ultimate success, blue print has to be better this time around

So far Gorton gets a B-

The cap space space is the issue.

Edit: Try and fleece Florida they have high profile forward prospects and might not amke the playoffs.

What do you think a player like Spooner under contract control would be worth if they flipped him?

I'm dead serious here, I think those two are part of the problem. Haayes is in his 3rd pro year and has regressed every in terms of analytics and traditional numbers. He still has habits that make "most" people go WTF are you doing? Miller is bout be going on 6 pro years. He lack of effort in games where he isn't playing well also makes me and many others nuts. One of thos two has to go.

Holden wasn't my favorite. I just thought he wasn't as bad as people made him out to be.

26 year old 40 point player. Little bit more than Grabner.

Hear ya. I wish that was the case too. But we have to be realistic.
Would you give a first rounder and a top notch prospect for Nash? I wouldn’t!

I imagine Chiarelli drafted Spooner, maybe he's a GM Gorton should speak to

No Vin, I'd keep him. Spooner will replace DD and that I'm 100% on board with.

I think they need to hold on to Hayes at least until they see what they have with Anderson and Chytil. Need the center depth. So what I’m basically saying is not yet on that one, imo.

Also have to take into a account AV wanted him strictly to shut down other top lines this year and before the injury he was doing a pretty good job. That will affect anyones numbers when you are told its your job that the other teams top line doesn't score.

His team mate Vatrano got a high 3rd and had 2 points this season, Spooner can easily get that or more, flip'em! Would make me feel much more differently about this deal

With all the picks they have this year, especially two first rounders for now, they need to hit on some these picks this draft. No more Hugh jessiman's or Dylan mcilraths

Does Spooner bring back a 2nd rounder and a propsect like Grabber did?

I was guessing he'll get 4 - 4.25 per. If so, should we flip him now or sign him?
