You think that I don't even realize that their hopes of reaching the postseason are now a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of doing so? Last night's loss was only another chapter in their lost season. But now, should they go 19-0-0 the remainder of the way, they can only reach 97 points, or 1 more than the expected requirement for the East's 2nd Wild Card spot. So they will need lots and lots of help as well, which also will be too little, too late.
So NOW if you want to say that their chances of landing the #1 overall pick are actually BETTER than their chances of reaching the postseason, I am with you on that. But there's no way I still would have conceded the season as early as you had wanted them to tank it, which was after their season opening loss to the Avs.

Miller frustrates regularly but I am not that upset about this. Zuccarello however, I would really prefer he stays.

Yup. Pretty much my thoughts too.

Like Karlsson, Mcdonagh's value to a team will never be higher than it is now. Especially to a playoff team. Managable cap hit and another year left on his deal. The more the rangers wait, the mpore they lose in value in that asset.
