I don’t know, once you put the For Sale sign up for your Captain, I can imagine it would be pretty hard keeping him around to lead your team when you’ve all but told him you are moving on.

If I had to put odds on it, I say 70/30 he gets traded. AV essentially putting it at 50/50 days something.

In addition, this wasn't McDonagh that Boston acquired here.

Ek is an idiot, but I can see NYR fishing for a bargain. Somehow McD trade went from only if NYR gets blown away with offer, to it being a forgone conclusion.
