NYR is going to need a goal scorer next year. Why not Kovi...He's a proven player who will help them be competitive, and for a fair deal....why not?

Ok going to try to be objective about a lot of people wanting to get rid of Hayes.

Zib 53 games 17g 14a 31 points

Hayes 56 games 15g 13a 28 points

Zib, did not have to shut down top lines. Got tons of PP time, usually had the best wingers on his line. Hayes barely got any PP time had the toughest assignment and has 3 less points than our #1 center. What am I missing here

If Rangers can flip Spooner as part of larger deal now or at draft, that's probably way to go. Pass-first, finesse-oriented guy with good hands. Isn't a 1. Rangers have a 2 in Zibanejad and could/should have Andersson and/or Chytil next year. And then there's Hayes.
