Denis Lemieux. TBH, the only Lemieux I ever liked.

Think frost makes the team next year?
- Hextall271

Highly doubtful but I would love it. He has a lot of size still to add to his frame just by nature of maturing physically.

Nashville is playing some scary hockey lately. I'm glad they're in the other conference.
- Doc_Sarcasm

Love their fans and jerseys. Quietly the western team I've pulled for since lavy left. I picked Tampa Nashville at beginning of season and still seems pretty do able

I just don't think Bobby Ryan is good enough at this point in his career to even consider taking 4 more years of that huge cap hit. But yeah, if there was a guy out there that could be reasonably acquired, sure I wouldn't mind adding a shoot first type of winger.

That being said, I still think the only thing Hextall does is add a depth Dman that will hopefully be at least a slight upgrade for Manning.

I have no expectation for any moves. I just get frustrated with the talk of who is a good player and who isn't. Jeff Carter wasn't good here. Brayden Schenn. Bobby Ryan isn't good. Bobby Ryan in my mind just fits in a certain role. I thought he was great in the playoffs last season within his role. Hopefully Voracek has a great standout performance this post season.

He'd have to have an exceptional camp, better than Konecny's.

I actually believe players like Jordan Weal made Schenn expendable. Banking on the development of Konecny. The Filppula deal.

I don't know how these players make Schenn expendable but this is just me. I felt we were a much deeper team when we had talent on all three lines. Richards, Carter, Briere, Hartnell, Giroux, Gagne, Leino.

- SuperSchennBros

In a perfect world your 3rd line would produce as much as your second line....look a Pitt...three lines every year that produce.

I'd like Bobby Ryan, just not his cap situation. He's a decent player, but he's paid to be a 35-goal scorer and he's not.

Schenn just got caught deep trying to score Nashville went the other way and scored

Minor league player. St Louis should buy him out.

I've been a consistent critic of Hakstol's personnel choices but he nailed it with this current lineup. I'm realistically hoping for these top 2 lines to stay intact for the next few years.

When Simmonds comes back we'll have Simmonds-Laughton-Raffl
Next year we'll have Simmonds-Frost-Raffl
2019 we could have Simmonds-Rubstov-Frost for a THIRD line

Add in Morin, Sanheim, and Hart......That's a Cup contender

I don't see Frost making the Flyers next season.

Lots of injury issues recently.
Not a huge fan of dealing for him at this point.

Simply not true...of course bad contracts limit teams abilities to make moves. MacDonald has been ok....solid ? That’s a stretch.....unfortunately for the Flyers, he is in their top 4, but that’s more a product of how poor Manning and Gudas have played in the last month.
- landros 2

MacDonald, without a doubt, has been solid this year. He was always good for at least one bone-headed play/turnover a game and he's almost entirely removed that from his game this year. He and Hagg have been so much more than could have been expected this year. They form a solid 2nd pair and have to be given credit for some of this team's success.

I do. He's got the skill and the brain. The only question is bulking up a little to take the NHL beating.

I have no issues with Hagg and MacDonald this season, if that was our third pair I would like them even more...

I think you're crazy. I think Hagg is going to be an excellent defenseman. Keep in mind that he's still in his rookie year and he just turned 23, and is a much better skater than L. Schenn.

I don’t think MacDonald is great, but the proof is in the pudding. This team absolutely sucked while he was injured. No matter the reasoning, the team needs him right now. Until they have an adequate replacement.
