We've made deals to this point that I don't agree with regardless of the mindset. We have a lot of passers on this team and not enough pure shooters. The closest thing we did have, we traded last summer. Next in line, Wayne Simmonds who isn't so much a pure shooter but The closest thing we have to a goal scorer. I love what Sean Couturier is doing but that goal production isn't the same as the start of the season.

There are a lot of players I'm willing to part without side of Weise and Lehtera. I don't think Jordan Weal a huge piece. Michael Raffl works hard but I don't think he makes or breaks us.

I suppose we could stick with bridge gap players and continue to trade the talented ones away. It would nice to add a new element. I suppose Boston couldn't possibly be good now that they added Rick Nash.

I just don't think Bobby Ryan is good enough at this point in his career to even consider taking 4 more years of that huge cap hit. But yeah, if there was a guy out there that could be reasonably acquired, sure I wouldn't mind adding a shoot first type of winger.

That being said, I still think the only thing Hextall does is add a depth Dman that will hopefully be at least a slight upgrade for Manning.

I swear some of you frankers come here with the sole intention of arguing and getting yourself all kinds of cranky.

For the record, I do not dislike Schenn. While I did find his inconsistency to be both baffling and irritating, he was definitely one of the more likable Flyers on a team that didnt exactly lack for likable characters.

Schenn’s a good hockey player and the Flyers got some pretty good assets back for him...no one can be really sure who won until the Flyers side of the deal develops. I think the Patrick draft pick made him expendable.

They lost Shattenkirk to trade and Fabbri to injury for th whole season. Allen has come back down to earth and we know Schenn’s limitations at ES. It seems all of that has around to bite the team despite their start.
