After this one 4 more years at 7.25 million. Lehtera 1 more year and Weise 2 more years combined isn't worth ryan contract. They would have to send me picks and prospects to even remotely consider that deal. |

Not sure what is worse, the ridiculous price Boston paid for Rick Nash or the fact that people still want Bobby Ryan in 2018. - hereticpride

Or to give him his full title, Cherry Hill's Bobby Ryan. |

4 more seasons at 7.25 for that production? Hexy should kill himself if he ever dealt anything for Ryan.
Even if he did spend a few years in Cherry Hill. - MBFlyerfan
Yeah, I'm not interested in moving any assets for Bobby Ryan at all.
The considerable costs involved with his acquisition and paying him aside, I have no idea where he'd fit on this team, as currently constituted. |

I saw that too. I was wondering if people were putting to much into us scouting them. We could of just been scouting the goaltending situation and Kane. Who knows at this point - nonpoint22
Well article did state they were purely speculating a big what if scenario given that we just picked up Mrazek. Hextall doesn't seem like the Kane type. Plus, article also said the buffalo GM is asking way to much for who he's willing to trade. |

Just four years left at a pretty cheap cap hit of $7,250,000.

I'm not saying I want Bobby Ryan as much as I'm saying that I would like to see a move for improvement. Are we a good team? Yes. Can we keep this kind of play up for years to come? Maybe. We traded Schenn. Simmonds' future with the team is up in the air. The big line of Couturier, Giroux and Konecny has been fun to watch this year but a guy like Jake Voracek for example leaves me so frustrated. It doesn't matter to me that he leads the league in assists. He passed up a shot on a breakaway yesterday. |

Spooner, Beleskey, Lindgren are ok pieces coming back, but the real part of deal coming back to NY is a first. They even had to take on half of Beleskey’s contract. Was it a good deal for NY? Sure, but I don’t think Boston was fleeced....Nash is still the best player moved in this deal. |

Leading the league in assists is a big deal especially when he also leads the league in primary assists. He's a play maker. An elite one at that. He makes bad plays at times yes but I can go through mcdavid video and find mistakes as well.
If you absolutely insist on a big name target at forward my choice would be hoffman from ottawa. |

You're sure to be less frustrated by a guy who makes $7.25m and has 22 points. |

If somebody really wants a player like Ryan I feel like you could get Maroon without the terrible contract.
Unless they just want Ryan because of the hometown thing, in which case |

If I'm going after a name that's going to cost actual significant assets I want a guy with 1 or 2 years of term in his prime. Hoffman fits the bill for me there. I don't trust maroon production continuing and I overall don't like how he overstep and takes a lot of bad untimely penalties. |

I just want no parts of Bobby Ryan or Evander Kane. Hopefully Hextall only makes minor moves here if anything. |

Though overpaid, AMac would be fine in a 4/5 role. However, due to the fact that we just have no one better right now, he's being asked to be the #3 guy and that is just not a role that he can effectively fill. - BiggE
That depends on what the definition of effective is. If what I think you're saying is that it's not likely that you can be a true cup contender with MacDonald as a #3, I would completely agree with that. However he is playing effectively in his role with a rookie partner on a team that is near the top of it's division. His cap hit really isn't a hindrance for the Flyers moving forward. They have plenty of flexibility moving forward and his contract, though overpaid as you state, less and less each year, is not an issue moving forward.

Sure seems like they are going to make a play on a defender. Hexy was asked about the 3rd pairing the other day. Praised Gudas but nothing on manning. Ugh. |

I don't think he wants to go into a playoff series with Alt as his 7th d-man. |

It would be out of character for Hextall to make a big deal at this juncture, regardless of whether or not they are ahead of schedule.
A couple of years down the road and they are close, you could say making a big move that you think could put you over the top.
I don't think this Flyers team is quite there in a position to benefit from that sort of move.
Even the acquisition of Mrazek made sense within the framework of Hextall's philosophy....Mrazek is still young and even better, they aren't really tied to him if he doesn't perform. |

Manning is barely a 6/7. Not much praise to heap, even if he pulls a decent game out of his butt once a season. |

I saw that after my post and even so Bruins fans seem to think he's going to be playing with krejci. (Spelling?)
Rangers are having a good deadline while others are sitting on their hands. Both the d prospects they took on were risks as in they may not sign nhl contracts with them but for rentals they are good trades. - Tfaehner
I would be surprised if Lindgren doesn't sign a contract. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I think in the NCAA you can't have a pro contract signed. |
