Its going to get interesting when they have to compile their Black Aces list this year. Will they put Sanheim on it or leave him in LHV to lead the defense on the playoff run.
Will Sam be healthy enough to be a Black Ace and not be in LHV since the pairs have been running without him for a month?
Will be very interested to see who they bring up. - juiced
No way the Flyers bring up Morin or Sanheim strictly for Black Ace duty while the Phantoms are in the AHL playoffs. |

I think voters will agree as long as they have everything other than the first 10 minutes of the Flyers Senators game wiped from their memory |

I really think that he's one of the guys that could push this team another step forward. His offensive game is already at an 'elite' level. His 5v5 GF/GA is a staggering 17 to 6. He is not learning at the AHL anymore. He needs to be in the NHL now.

If Sanheim needs to be called up in the playoffs, so be it. He s in his second professional season. Charlie McAvoy went from college to the Bruins in the playoffs last season. I have no reservations about inserting Sanheim. |

If he tries that at the NHL level, he's leaving on a stretcher.
But fun to watch. - jmatchett383
the key is that he doesn't score...that is how you know he is a Flyer (scored 2 goals that game) |

Wasn't McAvoy joining a very veteran defense?
Not every situation is the same. |

The Gostisbehere development has been huge. Especially in his own zone now. They have the making of a top pair. Hagg playing the tough situations now is only going to help next year when you bring in some more youth. Also Hagg could lead way to moving Gudas in the offseason, as Hagg brings a physical game, which I didn't realize he had.
I like the way the young guys are developing as you can see a succession plan for some youth to replace veteran roles. - J35Bacher
An argument can be made right now that Gostisbehere is the Flyers best defenseman over Provorov. That's how good of a year Gostisbehere is having and how well his all around game has developed.

An elite level in the AHL. In 35 games this year at the NHL level the Flyers GF% was 38% when he was on the ice.
