Pretty much exactly how I approached it -- my opinion is that a player like that is worth it. It's not like I didn't know that posting it wasn't gonna get someone hot and bothered, but the return from whatever team, if it's just for Karlsson, is probably gonna be close to what I said

If it's just for Karlsson, two No. 1s are going back. I'd bet quite a bit on that -- too many teams interested, and every single contender can do $6.5 next season. Maybe not as easily as the Flyers could, but yeah

Would you bet on it being two #1's plus a Sanheim and Konecny which is essentially two more #1's plus another high value prospect in Myers? If so I would avoid the casino's if I was you.

Every single contender would also be looking at if they could do an 8 year deal at around 10M or so a year in the future because what team is going to pay that price for one playoff run and one year.

My feelings aren't hurt. What I am saying is that having a discussion on this board about "what would you trade for Erik Karlsson" never happens because as soon as someone says it, somebody else is knee-jerking so hard, they don't even ask "Hey. Did you consider the salary cap implications?"

If you make such an out of reality trade proposal, you should expect some blow back on that. Just so you know, the Flyers expect Sanheim to be a top defenseman in this league. Travis Konecny right now is a first line winger. The Blues pick has a chance to be a much higher pick than originally thought. Yet you make a post trying to minimize the value of all the assets you suggest in a trade. I guess to somehow justify it or convince yourself. You say your feelings aren't hurt but yet you invent past statements and bring up irrelevant points when your opinion was challenged. .

I come here to harshly criticize and question the intelligence of every other member of the board and then cry wolf when someone accuses me of doing such. Also, I hope you realize that I am the only person on here who truly understands the internal workings of an NHL front office, and my opinion is the law when it comes to player evaluation.
