I think it's in bad taste and less than classy when someone bashes someone else because they like a player and would like to see them to play for the Flyers. - SuperSchennBros
if anyone else in here offered up Sanheim, Myers, 2 firsts and maybe TK for Karlsson i would have made fun of them equally |

I just saw Black Panther which is great. I thought it was interesting that the only white guys in the movie were Gollum and Bilbo. |

Well, we'll see what he goes for. If it's not comparable, I'll own it, not try to pretend I didn't say it
That being said: It could be less if they attach Bobby Ryan, as everyone has heard they could be attempting to do, so let's not go down that road if that parameter is part of it, because it will likely be less if it is met. How much less, I could not guess

it's not necessarily that it's not comparable, it's that i just don't have any interest what so ever in dealing a package like that. it's simply too much for 1 player no matter how you look at it. |

if the sens force the bobby ryan rider provision to the deal, of course that will damage the return. but in a vacuum, i dont think that your package of sanheim, myers, and two firsts is far off at all.
a regular rental of a pretty good player fetches a first and a prospect. karlsson still has the additional year of term, so two playoff runs. karlsson is also a top of the line, generational at what he does kind of guy. so doubling what the nash/brassard/ect type deals go for, and then adding a little on top of that, isnt unrealistic.
that being said, whether its a right move for the flyers (or whatever team takes the plunge) is obviously a different question up for its own interpretation. |

Pretty much exactly how I approached it -- my opinion is that a player like that is worth it. It's not like I didn't know that posting it wasn't gonna get someone hot and bothered, but the return from whatever team, if it's just for Karlsson, is probably gonna be close to what I said
If it's just for Karlsson, two No. 1s are going back. I'd bet quite a bit on that -- too many teams interested, and every single contender can do $6.5 next season. Maybe not as easily as the Flyers could, but yeah

the flyers could easily make him work next year. the next contract, obviously thats going to be a tough one for virtually any team to work around. if you think that EK can give the team a legitimate shot at cashing in with a finals appearance in one of the two runs with him, its hard to automatically dismiss it. if you think it doesnt align with the rebuild timeline or whatever, then i can see being hesitant. but value wise, i cant see him being acquired for the standard first rounder/prospect/roster piece barring pure dumping ryan by ottawa.
i'm hoping he isnt moved between now and this time tomorrow and it waits until the offseason |

The interesting thing is if they move him to the West. HNIC kinda wanted to have the "Subban for Karlsson" debate, but you could tell they were a little hesitant because they had no info. They were just trying to square how Nashville could have interest and make it fit, but were nervous about saying that Nashville might trust Karlsson more
It's weird. The player has more value now, with two playoff runs. But I'd almost wait until the draft, when more teams could move just a bit more money around, and see exactly what young roster players would get offered

I'm confused on this take.
So, you DON'T think Mark Alt is liked by the organization? |

I'd stand pat, I rather see everyone complaining that Manning is playing than "put Manning in, at least he chipped in on offense once in a while and stuck up for his teammates." I can't believe there's thought of trading for a dman with Morin, Sanheim and Myers on their way. Alt didn't look bad in his small sample. The only problem with the D is the current combos and some players may need to sit a game or two to rest and reset. Stay the course unless someone is giving away something good. Don't need another Modry.
The real problem is the 4th line but that can be at least upgraded from within as well. Players on the Phantoms who would likely provide more than Weise and Lehtera: Martel, NAK, Vech, Varone, and Knight. |

It's so hard to tell. Never know what to believe at this time of year, but it sure sounds like pieces and scenarios have been discussed to the degree where you kinda believe he goes. Maybe 70-30, if I was guessing |

My only knock is the CGI fighting. I think the most intense fight I've seen so far in a marvel movie is Captain America and the Winter Soldier vs Iron Man. |
