Don’t think we have enough roster spots. Wait. We waived 2 today. That works contract wise. Not sure about value. - section32
Alt was waived but that doesn't mean he is going to be sent to the Phantoms if he clears.
Can anyone tell me why they needed to waive John Muse?

As for every deal Hexy discusses, it depends on what we are giving up. Most of the deals I have heard discussed in here today are GROSS overpayments that the other team would jump at in a heartbeat. - MBFlyerfan
Maybe they want another shot at Weise ?

I believe it was with the intentions of signing him to a 2 way NHL contract just in case they need him to backup. He needs to go through waivers for that to occur as he was on an AHL only deal. |

Thanks. I just found that info.
I think the Flyers will demote Alt in a paper move so he will be eligible for the AHL playoffs and then recall him.

Simmonds+ to the Ducks for Nick Ritchie, Sam Steel and a second and then flip the second to the Blackhawks for Hartman - - Bayareaflyer
Why would the Ducks want to trade for an injured player at the deadline? |

You can. The other team just has to sign off on it. ie Pronger.
Just doesn't make any sense for a team gearing up for the playoffs to trade assets for an injured player imo. |

You could the other team just has to agree to it and be aware that the player is injured. Flyers traded for Gudas while he was still injured. |

Or maybe if they gave Patrick more responsibility earlier he would have started playing the way he is sooner. Same could be said for Konecny. Nobody can answer that. So that argument doesn’t really hold water. Awful lot of what if’s, who would have’s to defend or detract from one player. - Flyers1218

I don't see much happening. The Mrazek trade has so many possible outcomes that Hextall kind of tied his hands at the deadline. Can't deal the 2nd, 3rd or 4th right now in addition to next year's 3rd.
I don't see him moving a 1st and I definitely don't see him moving a prospect for a rental. Maybe he can get a vet D man for a 5th. That's about it I'm guessing. |

Weakens the team this year? How? Sanheim isn't up. Myers has never played a shift in the league. TK is another story but Karlsson makes up for that and more
Dude is a two-time Norris winner at 28 years old. Let's not overstate what we have in favor of what you get.
It's OK to like TK. Erik Karlsson is worthe TK and more - AllInForFlyers
Why would you do this deal in all honesty. The flyers are not hurting for offense from the defense. If your ever going to trade Sanheim or Myers I would look for a scoring winger and look for G's replacement.
This is a salary cap NHL so please stop with the wet dream trades. |

I'm a big fan of Hartman. He was my target since I heard Blackhawk were shopping him. Had 19 goals last year. In 50 games this year still on pace for 15. Descent size. Plz gimme ty |

And Mark Alt was placed on waivers 🤔🤔 - ajw12
HMMMMM!!!
When i was saying on this very website that I hope Alt gets picked up when he went through waivers earlier this season i was told how i was foolish for this line of thinking and how he was needed for depth.

I've seen a couple Chicago games and they speak highly of him. He looked alright. Seems he has some decent numbers. Couldn't hurt to kick the tires. |

I don’t hate Weise because he’s a crappy player, I hate him because he just goes through the motions and plays like he doesn’t give a (frank)
Lehterä is slow, but he’s giving it all he’s got. Filppula has lost a step, but he leaves it all on the ice. Manning plays like a warrior and tries as hard as he can, he just lacks talent and hockey sense.
But Weise, he plays with no passion, no heart. He’s basically Alexander Daigle minus the speed and natural talent. It makes me sick that the Flyers are paying this gonad lacking pile of steaming monkey crap millions of dollars to not even bother to show some real (frank)ing effort.
(frank) Dale Weise and (frank) anyone who would stoop low enough to defend him. - BiggE
which is why i rather have Leier in. He always works hard |
