Mad Dog is a heart and soul guy. Makes mistakes but competes hard. I have no problem with him in the lineup. I do want a backup plan (Vet rental) in case he goes on a vacation or injury.

No one should ever knock his effort and how the kid has made him self an NHL player....he fights bigger tougher guys because they don’t have many others that will. .....he was awful along with his partner for two periods in his own zone. In the 3rd he made some nice plays, and great on him. No one can argue that pairing has been a weak link the last 6 weeks. It’s pretty obvious other more talented kids are close be it now or soon to come to replace him. I’d be fine if he was the #7 and saw spot duty, but him as a regular with Gudas has been an adventure in their own end.

i think with a year left on his contract he would really upgrade the Flyers D. I do believe it will take something significant to get him.

I prefer a D man that is cheaper that can play 4-5 in the lineup
