I tried watching it, but I just don't get the attraction of shuffleboard on ice with people chasing after it with brooms. It just looks like something that Eskimo seniors should be playing with their grandkids.

Interesting article on Gudas in the Inqy today. We’ve all speculated that he’s been less effective since his suspension because he’s afraid to play aggressively. I figured it has had some effect on how he plays, but didn’t realize how bad it is. he literally says that the refs are always in his head when he’s playing. The first thing he checks on game day is who the refs are. I feel for the guy. No wonder his play has dropped off so much.

That sucks. He needs to get past it and just play his game and realize that you just can't hit a guy from behind, in the head or with your stick. The Flyers, if they haven't done so already, may want to look into setting him up to meet with a sports psychologist too.

Odds Mrazek gets four wins and then y’all hold him out so he doesn’t get the fifth win?

I’ll be pulling for the Flyers. Of any team in the NHL, I’m most envious of your young talent/prospects. W/ 2 1st round picks this year, y’all should be scary in a few years.

In the past, after suspensions, he always said that he’d continue to play his game. He’s in a bad spot. He’s not effective playing the way he is now and he can’t get away with the way he’s played his whole career.

I'd take a division championship and a 1st round matchup vs the Devils over all of the above.
- BiggE

Agree. They've beat Tampa Bay in their own building already and took 2 from Toronto. Boston could whoop us

1st in Metro and facing the Devils I could see Philly going to the 2nd round.

Pens/refs would be a nightmare IMO. They could give the Caps a run for their money, but it's got 2016 all over it. Bounced in 6.

All about the match ups.

Hell, I can't speak for anyone else, but anytime Weise is on the ice, I'm terrified.

The advantage of that matchup is that if you get past the Devils, you hope that the Caps and Pens have physically destroyed each other in the other series, and maybe, just maybe, you can pull off an upset and you're in the Conference finals.

It may not be likely, but stranger things have happened.

Hearing questionable or game time decision. I hope they sit him until fully healthy, they can get by without him.

Penguins arent very big.. you're going to have to kill an awful lot of them if you want it in any kind of quantity. But... you're probably ok with this.

I love it, been watching it since I was little when it first came into the Olympics. It's really strategic. I like thinking about what I would do then seeing it play out

I'm going to be laughing my ass off when Crosby and Letang each go down with injuries during the last week of the regular season and then Murray pulls his groin in game 1.

Hey, you gotta pay Satan back at some point and the bill is coming due.

Well.. in all fairness, Brassard has been the key component to oh so many Stanley Cup winning teams.

Fair enough. Looks like one of the those sports, at least to me, that would be a lot more fun to play than to watch.

Right

I said it last night, he's a useful player but people elevating them to surefire cup contenders like he's some sort of difference maker is puzzling.

They can beat the caps. Caps aren’t near as strong as that team 2 years ago and the flyers are better. They are 1 point behind them and are playing better hockey than them.

Holtby looks mediocre this year as well. I have 0 fear of the caps
