No one is talking about Holm. Everyone is too caught up with NHL 2018 armchair counseling and proposals.

This guy has a very good shot and some speed. This is a more realistic way of a team improving . I hope his defensive game has improved to a NHL level. Him Chatfield and MacEwen seem like really good pick ups. Just like trading for a 3rd or fourth.

I think you are dreaming. If you take on a bad contract, normally you move up about 15-20 spots in the draft not from a 6th round to a 1st round.

When Arizona took on Datysuk they moved up 4 spots in the first round.

When Arizona took on Dave Bolland, they got a 11oa Bust in Lawson Crouse for a 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Yet you want to move from a 6th round pick to the 15oa.

Nah, if he plays solid 90% of the game and makes a couple of mistakes, I’ll be a fan. Easier to develop that type of a player instead of a guy who’s just ineffective most of the game.
