To avoid even more bad PR, I would suggest the captaincy should be dealt with in the off-season and it should be Hank offering it.

I think Canucks are willing to move a LSD if they get a young prospect or a 1-3 round draft pick.

A Vanek move is just based on buyer's fit or need. Don't think any one incident in game will effect that cause he's an established guy who is proving he still can produce.

You would think they would make one "major" trade. But I wouldn't be surprised they stand pat if offers are crap and concentrate on changing team through their prospects and perhaps a young UFA upgrade letting go any number of expiring contracts.

I agree but Hank can also initiate it & do it now or later but get the ball rolling by speaking about it.
