There are zero teams that will trade a young NHL 3rd liner for Brouwer. The Flames won't be getting a useful player for Brouwer unless that player has an even worse contract.

1.5 x 4 years doesn't sound too bad. They should be able to find someone better than Brouwer for half the price.

I think there are a few teams out there that would take him with half salary retained for a pick. I dont think Tre does it though. Just a poopty signing that I dont think he is over yet. Todd Cordell called it though right from the get go.

Welcome to the Flames hockeybuzz thread, man. Where every bad game means it's time to give up the season and start selling to get some assets for this lost season.

It's been like this since pretty much Game 1 and will be until the seaaon ends. You're all acting like we're 15 points out or something. We're only two out of the 2nd wildcard and four out of 3rd in the Division with about a quarter of the season left. Calm the (frank) down. Plenty of time still.

Amen. 25-30ish games doesn't seem like a lot until you put it into perspective that they play 82 a year. Not to mention all the Cali teams just went on abnormal hot streaks which will cool off eventually

Looking at the list of potential players to be traded. Skinner or galchenyuk two guys they should be looking at. Obviously for the right price maybe the cans are looking for a good young goalie!!

With the team being so inconsistent not sure it’s worth giving up prospects unless we can land a guy with term.

As far as I’m concerned Iggy might be the best option at this point. Cost you nothing, there is no nead to rush him in. He can play on the third line, he fights, he’s big and if he doesn’t do anything for this team no harm done.

Just drafting him doesn't necessarily mean he has to sign with that team. Would probably just because it's the right thing to do, and he probably doesn't stay the full term in university.
I think that's about the only way he plays in Calgary. We can only dream.
