Basically the Canadian version of Hornqvist. Midget powerforward bulldog who's good for at least one elongated injury a season. We'd love him here and his contract is indeed great. You wanna talk about Hornqvist replacement? He'd be the closest thing to it and only adds 750k on top of Sheary, so we'd still have cap to pursue someone else. - Victoro311
(frank) me. First we're talking about sending midgets off this team (Sheary) and now using that to bring midgets back to this team (Gallagher, Pageau once upon a time).
We will all be complaining about these dudes being perpetually on their asses in the ozone while Sid is threading picture perfect passes that go nowhere. |

Gallagher is a completely different player than Sheary. He is a tenacious forechecker and seems like a pain in the ass to play against. Add to that a great shot and very good passing ability. Gallagher is an excellent player that isnt getting much help in MTL. He would flourish on this Pens team. |

Ottawa could get a better deal than that for EK alone. - jmatchett383 .
Eh, both Letang and Karlsson are top 10 defenders. The drop off between the two isn't as steep as people want believe and if he was all that why would they even consider trading him? Letang has two cups on his resume and has much better playoff numbers than EK. I think Letang, Hunwick and Sheary or Letang, Sheary and a top round pick is more than adequate, but we'll see what he get I guess.
You know, actually; after seeing EK's playoff numbers, I change my opinion, I'd rather have Letang heading into these playoffs. Nevermind. |

who would take hunwick that is a good fit for a trade with pitt? leafs did like him and tried to re sign him before the pens signed him to a 3 year deal. is his value higher because he is not a rental? Sheary's return should be decent. he can play up/down the line and he has 2 yrs remaining after this one.
what about goalie depth? think anyone wants jarry or gustavsson for depth?
brassard for sheary(3M), hunwick(2.25M) and a pick? or a prospect? same $ but it would take up 2 roster spots and not 1. |

People certainly like our goalies. GMJR said he gets more calls on Gustavsson then anyone. Jarry won't be traded, he's the current back-up and GMJR said he's not moving him.
Sens are probably trying to cut salary so they won't take those guys unless they want them. They need to convince Karlsson and Duchene to stay. |

Im mentally ready now for not getting Brassard or doing anything at all. Still think they'll be fine if that's the case. |

They're not going to retain salary on a top 6 forward signed for 4 years. Especially if you don't include Sprong and/or a 1st.
That would be a god awful return for DET lol Hunwick is bad. |
