I would be good with that. But i wouldn't be against a bigger move if there. I just don't want to waste the season my top guys are having for the future which isn't anything i can predict. I can love what Morin could bring and the Chara/Pronger comparisons but he isn't them and I don't know what he will be. He is just an example. But if I was able to get a bonafide top four guy, who isn't a rental, I think they should make the move.

It all depends on who is being swapped for who, but I wouldn't rule out anything at this point. Other than Hart and Frost, I don't think there are any prospect who are stone cold untouchables if the right deal were to come along and the same goes for moving one of the 2 2018 firsts.

All that being said, I just don't see Hextall making a blockbuster move. Between his recent play and his getting injured last night, I really think Hextall just tries to pick up a Dman that will at least be a slight upgrade from Manning.

The Rangers GM clearly wants to watch the Eastern Conference kill itself by trading away assets within the conference and even, the division.

Grabner to the Devils? WTF?

The first ever trade between the rangers devils. To me that means that they don't play on competing again any time soon. They apparently also were talking heavily to the pens about both nash and grabner

Columbus doesn't seem as ready to deal. Especially after another loss. I think if manning is out long term you may actually see hexy make a move for the d man you want

The way I look at this is unless we see them in a later round of the playoffs, we will never play against Grabner in a Devils shirt. Of course, this point is moot if they resign him, but rather the Devils then Penguins

If Manning is out, I sure hope we see Sanheim called up and not have Alt slide into the line up instead.

Manning will be fine. He took a knee right to the Manregion.

It's a bad time to trade at the deadline....teams end up over paying. I can't see them doing anything above what you mentioned you "disingenuous" bastard....

Don't get me wrong I am all about prospects and building your club from within, but people talk about assets like there all gonna help the team. There are only 23 skaters dressing every night, which means many of the so called prospects most likely will never help the Flyers. I believe were only allowed 50 contract spots. Hexy has done such a nice job that tough decisions on talented young players are gonna start to be made. I'm not advocating gutting the system for an EK, but all I'm saying is if we dealt a prospect for an established player chances are that it probably won't hurt as much as people think.. Gotta look and see what's out there and be aggressive there something special brewing in South Philly

Despite Weise not playing well overall he is still a veteran and reliable defensively. Flyers have a lot of young players and the coach shortens the bench late in games with the lead. Hopefully when Simmonds and Konecny return changes will be made.
- MJL

he didn't look reliable with three minutes left last night when he failed to get the puck out of his own zone. He could have skated it out....or dumped it up the boards...but Mr. Reliable tried a stupid pass to the middle of the ice. Hak Obviously wants that trio to be able to shut down the other team late....It's a disaster looking to happen so far. They got lucky.

I had clear line of sight from 218... every guy around me cringed also. We all we saying did he just take a knee right there?

He was supposedly back on the bench by the end.

Our timeline is directly tied to carter hart imo. I don't think it's about waiting for all our prospects guys we will draft this year will more than likely be backfill as people walk through time or are traded. But our defense being young and experienced and Carter hart being nhl ready is our future. Buying people who will be 30+ by that time doesn't interest me. If we can get people are 25 or younger who are upgrades I'm on board preferably on controllable contracts

If you look at the Flyers 50 contract list there is plenty of room for upgrades with quality prospects. The main factor is that trading younger player for older players may accelerate the team but it can also ultimately shorten the window that the team remains a contender. In my opinion while I think this team can be competitive with any team in the league, I don't see them as a team that is at the point where it should be trading for playoff rentals. Hockey trades I am fine with.

This is 10 times better then when the NHLers play.

Book it.

Exactly. We can go bargain shopping and I'll be happy. If we make a bigger trade I would prefer it someone like domi who is young and has 10+ years of high quality hockey left
