it's actually hysterical since it's probably not true. not unless you think Hughes and Boqvist are total duds which....why?
- Sabresfan-365

Im actually really warming up to the Boqvist idea (if we fall out of top 3). I feel like he might be one of those guys that could actually be ready next year if they decide to expedite the process. He seems to be flying under the radar and if Dahlin wasnt in this draft I think hed be the clear cut #1 d-man

Edit: Hes pretty damn young tho...

I did say that if the NyR (& others) became sellers it could/would affect Kane’s value
Supply & demand

If this is now saying that Kane’s value is down,
then u also have to say that when Botts raised his ask that Kane’s value was UP

And the original argument took place like a day after we found out Botts raised his price (3 weeks ago -ish)

- jdfitz77

except the driving factor behind his value has been this prolonged slump. Even if those teams didnt sell, Kane has basically been useless since mid december, thats going to hurt value.

teams may "know who kane is" but this is a short term buy so thats all buyers are interested.

Also, RE: your point about nobody benching and the rangers not doing that...

Id take Hughes over him but thats mostly just personal preference. Either one of them would be a huge get for the franchise. saying top 3 or we're (frank)ed is pure defeatist

Not duds...
but likely 4/5 years away from making an impact for us

- jdfitz77

Like 95% of all draft picks . 4/5yrs away . Even Jack could do more if healthy.

I'd say 2 or 3...and no matter who we draft, we're 2 or 3 years away.

If we don’t end up with one of Dahlin, Zadina, Svechnikov we are so franked it’s not even funny to joke about
- Pegullaville

We need to finish last to ensure we pick no worse then 4th. I don't care what it takes to get to that point ........... if it means we lose every game for the rest of the season 10-0.

2. he almosted (frank)ed up on the 2nd one though.
- wingz4life

So u won 2 Cups with our franchise goalie
We only got to 1 Cup with him

I know it was like 15yrs ago...
but our sports teams have sucked forever with the exception of a handful of seasons by each

I’d love to have a run like u guys had!
That was pretty awesome

Werenski did one year of college, some AHL games and became a top 4 D-man the following year.

Provorov went back to juniors for a year and bypassed the AHL entirely to become a top 4 guy the following year

Not guaranteed, but Hughes and Boqvist could definitely follow that

That was a link i posted from brian lawton, who claimed we were going to re-sign miller instead of trading him (few days later he was dealt to STL).

Mostly just pointing out lawton is a hack

More that he’s tiny & would need to put on weight & strength
I think he’s probably 3 years away from the NHL
Then takes another year or 2 before he starts to do good in the NHL

I could be wrong
But i see him as very similar to Makar from last year’s Draft
Boqvist is gonna need some time before he’s a factor for us

Anyone saying a top 5 pick is 4-5 years away from contributing is just making up numbers.

Yea idk its harder to gauge the euro guys. And as far as the size goes I will wait until the combine to get an accurate height and weight. Hes just turned 17 in August so hes very young. But he looks absolutely dynamite.
