I think Benn could be on the move. Haven't seen much of Schlemko and did not take a look at his contract.

But I would try to move in that direction as well. Will be hard to convince UFAS to come here, but $$$ will be there. Trading for a young puck moving defenseman could be an idea as well.

The kids they drafted? Aside from Scherbak there isn't much in Laval that could come and help next season.

Evans still isn't signed and I'm still worried we'll simply lose him for nothing.

Poehling is looking good but he's not signed and will probably stay in school for another year or 2....

Gotta expect trades and/or UFA's to fill the gap for next season.

As for the pitch for Tavares, I think it'll be more about "join your Team Canada buddies Weber and Price!" and "Here's 14M every year for the next 8 years!"
