Yeah, but if guys with term like Brassard are getting moved, his value is going down.

Well, if "Pleky" is traded, and they don't get a center in return, who's left down the middle?
- Pat1993

Hudon, Byron, Mete, JDLR, and Galchenyuk - in that order.

Good, because that would be insult to the intelligence of the fan base.

The fact he's still in charge is pretty much an insult to the intelligence of the fanbase...

If you look at the return on Weise and monsieur mayonnaise, he would be crazy not to.

I just don't know wich team is looking to improve at 3C.

I am just kinda on the fence about this one, tbh. I just think back to all the poopty wingers he has had over the years and still produced. Even this year, numbers aren't great, but there is a reason Gallahger is producing on his line. I have never been a great fan of Pleks, but he was never as great as some said and never as bad as other complained.

I dunno, the way they poop on Markov just shy of 1000 games, not sure I see them doing the same with Pleks.

You think we can compete next season?

Sucking for a few years is what we need. No centres in this draft anyway.

He is not getting any younger, he's a UFA and mtl needs a retoll/rebuild.

They got Danault + by trading Weise.

Well, I guess I was hoping for a quick fix re-tool turn around thingy, but it's probably going to be pretty hard to achieve considering the current level of competency that management and scouting is providing.

I don't disagree. I'm not even saying keep him.

I just don't see the Habs getting rid of a player, for he second time in under a year, that is closing in on 1000 games played in their jersey.

They got nothing for Markov and it looks like Bergevin lowballed him. Plekanec helped this team in the past, but I think it's time to move on. I don't think you can deal with too much emotions if you want the team to be better.

If we only get 4th or 5th round picks for him, I would agree with you. I just think a team will give something more valuable long term for us.

No but there's a really good one in free agency, they have to explore that before they truly know what direction to head in
