Major shakeup, unfortunately, while the best route from a hockey standpoint, is the most expensive to implement organizationally.

Educated guess:

Q gets "reassigned" within the organization this summer, Bowman stays but under a "turn this thing around or else" Sword of Damocles.

Likely they promote Granato or Dineen (but that part is pure speculation).

Why would the second winning coach in NHL history, who certainly would get coaching offer(s) this summer at $$ equal to/or likely exceeding what he is due from the Hawks, give up coaching and adding wins to his career stats? Burnout would be the only reason, and Q (unlike his Hawk players) has given no indication of that.

LOL I most certainly will be. 12:40am MT and I work a 10-7 shift so I'm always up late. Nash, Grabner, Maroon and Green ALL healthy scratched tonight according to Eklund, so things may get VERY interesting on the trade front in the next 24 hours.

Ya man my only gripe with Denver is the lack of quality takeout pizza...I miss Chicago thin crust pizza.. I don't even eat pizza anymore which is probably a good thing overall

This was a serious problem after I moved to St. Petersburg...and the Giordano's in Tampa closed, making the two Giordano's in Orlando the closest good pizza.

Tried all the local non-chain places, and just couldn't be silent in my criticism to their staffs, not to the point they bar me, but my disappointment reigns with each attempt to recapture the essence, and I am very happy with a thin crust pizza with sauce up to the edge and sausage...
the MFKing grocery stores here do not even carry ANY sausage only pizza...they find one ingredient (other than chesse) are non-profitable but once at WalMart found a Home run Inn sausage...ONCE.

My solution his this:
Go to WalMart and grab their giant cheese pizza...proceed to the meat section and buy their meatballs which are now sausage only...but Kraft or Salerno or whatever five cheese, and shredded hard aged parm...and get some oregano, pizza sauce. & powdered Romano.

Take scissors and cut the meatballs package in half and place one in a freezer bag for your next pizza...cut the ones you are not freezing in half and generous spread it over the frozen pie...add the hard parm, oregano, and powered Romanoover a slight amount of sauce you throw on the frozen hard pie....
oven at 380 degrees not 400...after 12 minutes add the five cheese shredded cheese.

My biggest critic, my wife, says, it is better than ANY PIZZA we ever bought here...she is Scottish and it is cheaper this way than carry out or restaurant, but I agree...

You are too young so ask your dad about when the Italians lost to North Korea in the 1966 World Cup of soccer. The team came home to Genoa and a massive crowd of Italians turned out to throw rotten tomatoes at the team. Same thing might happen to our curlers.

My guess is that BOTH are there to start next year. if we see this same Hawk trend through 20-30 games next year, THEN you will see "Q" being the man out....

I don't agree. I think Hawks will get rid of Q for sure, and maybe Bowman as well. Rocky/McD need and will make BIG MOVES to prevent a significant erosion of fan base/attendance/TV ratings/media coverage.

Why would Carolina trade a top young defenceman, potentially elite, on their roster for something that doesn't solve their biggest need - a good young center?

The erosion of the season ticket holder base is coming. I sit in the 100 level center ice and many are not renewing. I personally have been called 3 times this week by my season reservation rep, "Hoping that everything is OK, and to give her a call if I need anything." Great point. The biggest issue impacting the Hawks won-loss record in the next 1-2 years is Crow's health. Will he ever play again? If he does, will his injury affect his performance?

Maybe the chef still had some of those great cuts of meat in the reserve cooler and they've been dry aging, but a little longer than usual, and the chef's signatire spice blend just isn't bringing out the flavors in those pieces of meat like it used to.

Reminds me of the story about when Don Cherry was coaching the Colorado Rockies and his goalie let in another really bad goal that cost the team the game. Cherry apparently told Hardy Astrom 'if I had a gun I would use it to shoot you'.
