Make him an Ambassador. I'm sure Pully's office by the lake is empty, he could occupy that.

Give him a sales position at Judge & Dolph and hand him the Binny's account.

I like Q and appreciate his time and accomplishments with the Hawks but I think there is a disconnect going on between coach and players this season for whatever reason.

I know there were some questions about the Hawks this year and the possibility of them taking a step back and missing the playoffs; but when the season started did you pick Vegas as one of the team's leapfrogging the Hawks?

No, they’ll fire him, he’ll go to another emerging team, win a few more SCs and challenge Bowman’s total victory record.

Powers:

Five NHL scouts credentialed for tonight's Blackhawks-Sharks game. There are two each from Buffalo and Winnipeg and one from Minnesota.

Late addition Vegas.

I hope he does unless of course they play the Hawks. I think Q has had a good run here but I wouldn't be unhappy if he and the Hawks were to part ways at the end of the season.

Sorry guys and gals... a lot of things happening on the rumour / life front.

Instead of the blog, here is the UPDATE:

So the "weirdness" thing has to do with Bowman and Crawford.

Bowman, to me, sounds like he's staying as I've heard that he's been giving the reigns to move guys (bigger than Lance Bouma).

According to my guy, Stan is getting the green light and being able to make "different" type of moves than he's accustom to based on the fact that this is his first true "seller deadline". Ie. he wants to get super creative and can help teams out to a certain extent.

Seguing into Crawford, I heard the he may be placed on the LTIR to make room for team so to send over a player with a large cap hit

That would allow said team to add a big piece on Monday.

I will keep you guys update.

That would include helping the Hawks out too, right? Just checking. Thanks JL!

Lets hope bowman can redeem himself after the 2 trade failures in the offseason. Wonder what expiring contract and what teams be willing to give 1st rounds picks up to shed a large salary.

If mcdumbass gave bowman the go ahead then most likely Q is out. Should interesting 3 days hope the hawks come out on top not holding my breath with bowman in charge but might surprise me we'll see.

Admittedly, my ears perk up to anything smacking of FO/behind the bench personnel changes and I'm overly suspicious of McD's tactics for pushing out info. That said, Konroyd asked Hinostroza in a pregame interview to talk about how helpful Dineen and Granato have been for him.

Said Dineen stays after practice with him to work on the offensive skills and that Granato stays after practice with the younger guys to work on skills.

ETA: Q also interviewed - pointed at team initially, then says money rather than hockey have made decisions as they've gone along.

have not watched any of the winter olympics...but there is something wrong about women's ice hockey championship being decided by a shoot out...i am not familiar with olympic rules...did they play a short OT?

this all makes a lot of sense...LTIR craw gives the hawks flexibility to take 5-6 mildo contract plus the additional hossa cap space is till available..

for all you stanbow "haters"..he ain't going anywhere if he is being allowed to make bolder and bigger moves...and i still seriously doubt Q goes...unless it's a mutual parting...hawks are not going to fire a HOF coach with 3 cups and 5 trips to WC finals...

should be an interesting weekend to see what stanbow pulls off...

whatever he does probably just sets him up for the draft and additional deals...

Rephrase accurate.

And recall something - Kekolainen shocked everybody at the draft and skipped over his Finnish countryman who wound up in Edmonton to take Dubois instead.

- RickJ

Shocking to some, but I'd always go with the 200ft center with size, grit, and skill over the scoring winger if it's a toss up in talent. Puljuarvi has been very underwhelming thus far in EDM.

I feel that the Hawks will keep both Bowman and Q. I think while it is difficult, the fan base has to be a bit more patient.

Berube has looked very good in this period. Almost no rebounds and tracking the puck well. 15 saves in. I figure this is his audition and really why not...he's only 1 year older than Forsberg.

If this place is a microcosm of Hawk Nation, only in the Bizarro world of this place do I see patience happening.

All goalies who get up to the Show look good - UNTIL they HAVE to make a save with 5 minutes left.

The better than good goalies make the “have to” save - the not so good ones don’t.

He looked steady for sure. IMO, He just seems more confident based on body language so far.
