I think it's a bit different for TB considering their prospect pool and such but yeah overall it's not really a move they need to make. They could probably find 1 or 2 other depth defenders for cheaper and still make a deep run.

Speaking of dumb, Manning is a player who has worked his way up from the AHL to the NHL and has been in the NHL for 3 years. That makes him actually good at hockey.

You can have any opinion you want of fighting it still doesn't change that Manning should be respected for how he stands up on the ice.

If we were a legit cup contender, then yes.

Adding EK gives you a two-year window to go for it all. If either of those 2 years results in a Cup (or both years), then it was worth it.

At some point, you just have to go all-in.
