Those will probably end up being 2 of the best deals in the entire league - nonpoint22
The team is showing its depth. Im really enjoying the growth of Patrick. He controls the puck so well and makes a lot of subtle plays. I think the rebuild is over, time to understand this team belongs. Since the 10 game losing streak, only Boston has more points in the entire league, pretty impressive

agreed but you will not have Flip and you can buy out Weise and Lethera. On the D there is plenty of options. You can pick someone up and trade them in the offseason of move Gudas, plus Manning is a free agent I believe. - wcorvette
I have no interest in seeing the Flyers go on a buy out spree in the off season.

The predicted return was a low 1st high 2nd a good prospect and they got a mid to late 2nd and a meh prospect. I think they sold slightly low. |

I didn't think they could get a first for him. Thought the Debs needed more blue line help then forward to make a push.

Its getting there.. How Hexy thinks he's a better option to Leier, NAK, etc is just mind numbing.

He seems to be playing pretty well. Just looked up his stats, and a few scouting reports. Seems to be a good dman playing in the KHL, putting decent scoring numbers.

Yeah I'm just saying the rumored worth of him was. Rykov seems okay but it doesn't sound like he wants to leave khl. I guess rangers think they can convince him who knows. People very split on trade some say robbery some say win win some say horrible for both |

NAK has yet to play a single NHL game. I wouldn't be surprised if Leier is traded by the Flyers in the off season and is not in their plans for the future.

Yeah I been reading all the reports. He's okay. Nothing special. But has little to no interest of coming over seas at this point |

i dig grabner but i dont think hes going to be a true difference maker. i would have been okay with the pens paying that price, but to really beat that offer out i'm actually glad the pens sat that one out. |

The Rangers rebuild involves keeping Lindquist, which to me is bizarre. I despise the Rangers so more power to them. I hope they stay mediocre for the next decade.

So instead of seeing if either of these guys can play, you trudge out a guy who obviously can't. That makes a lot of sense

The Flyers have given Leier plenty of time to see if he can play. I'd have no issue with Leier in the lineup over Weise but Leier is not an upgrade. NAK has not played a single shift in the NHL so how does it make sense that he is automatically an upgrade?

With a player like Lundqvist who has been the backbone of their franchise for a long time they often give the player a choice of what he wants to do. Contractually he also has a NMC. There also has to be a market for a team to want to trade for a goaltender at the trade deadline with an 8.5M cap hit with 3 more years after this season.

I think you're slightly underselling him as a player a little bit, at any rate but you're right. It's unlikely that he comes over, at least at this stage. |
