The Devils were a late arriving entry to the Grabner bidding. Some 10 teams showed interest and they were one of the last to reach out but made a late push and got him.

Honestly, I’m not impressed at all with this one. With 10 teams calling, we couldn’t do better than that?

I think I would have rather re-signed him before the trade deadline than trade him to the Devils for a late second and a guy that’s not coming any time soon.

The NYR trade a 30 goal scorer and 2nd in the league in 5v5 goals for the 50th plus pick and a guy that might not ever come to NA. Accurate depiction of the trade?
