No it wasn't. I tried to prevent it from starting, after "e-chiefs" had replied to "TJ's" post in asking in key but not the exact words, that, "since I'm now here 5 years, what are you guys going to give me?'
I replied to TJ in saying, "a personal visit and memorabilia signing by Bickell and Tortorella".
But "e-chiefs" replied by saying, "An N.R.A.MEMBERSHIP".
Then, I replied to "e-chiefs" in saying, "No ... not this again, and gave my choice of words as to who is first at fault for this guns craze, after having wasted at least over an hour last night in reading the comments of the prior blog, of which nearly all for too long a stretch of time, were related only to guns talk and the like.

For the record, I made a joke based on something TJ said yesterday. You asked me "not to start the non-hockey talk again here" and then immediately proceeded to post an entire paragraph talking about the exact thing you didn't want to talk about, derailing the entire thread.

You'll notice at no point in the subsequent pages did I make a single comment about that topic.

What Steve Yzerman won't be doing is dealing from his current lineup, so the likes of Mikhail Sergachev and Brayden Point won't be going anywhere. #TBLightning @TB_Times #NHLTradeDeadline @TBTimes_JSmith https://t.co/NTF2sP5b5P

#tblightning GM Steve Yzerman is unsure what he'll be able to do at deadline, noting there are "very limited" fits. What he won't be doing is dealing from his current roster. "We're trying to keep this team together with the hope of improving it." Here's more from our talk today

That will make dealing for McD challenging. Would require multiple picks and/or players. Does Raddysh, Howden, Foote and a first excite you?

It really shouldn't make it challenging, that's kinda what happens any time anyone is traded at the deadline. Playoff-bound teams that think they have a real shot at the Cup are not moving major pieces off their roster to acquire someone. I don't honestly believe McDonagh gets dealt in-season, I think that will be an offseason move.

He's a much better prospect than both of them, that's for sure. But there's always going to be a degree of uncertainty with any prospect.

They are just going to trade their first rounder for Mike Green and be done with it, because they'll balk at the price for EK or McDonagh. But, who knows.

Green has some sort of UBI thing going on right now, I think the Red Wings are going to get F'ed in the A on his return, if there even is one, because of that.

I don’t ever claim to know prospects, but i read something recently (can’t remember where) about Anthony Cirelli (not sure of spelling), and he sounded like a pretty good prospect. Know anything bout him Jan?
