Some comments were intelligent, while others were scary in becoming aware of how many others right here alone on that blog last night are actual gun owners. - RangerSaver
WITHOUT any due respect, you honestly know nothing about one single person here on this blog unless you have met them in person. So making assumptions of people is the root of the problem in your above post, and exactly what I was speaking about before. You are making assumptions about people you know nothing about.

If I were Gorton I'd be looking to stockpile centers and defensemen like, well....it were my job. Not every prospects reaches their ceiling, or even comes close to it, so overstocking at important positions is pretty important if you can. - eichiefs9
Pretty sure why he picked 2 centers in the draft last year, but you should probably send him an email |

If I were Gorton, I'd make a trade in the next 10 minutes because I am getting tired of waiting goddamn it |

Sure, but there's no guarantee that one or either of them will play center in the NHL. Barzal, Beauvillier, Ho Sang, Lee, Nelson, and Bailey (off the the top of my head) were all centers when they were drafted and only 1.5 (Nelson has moved around) of them ended up being NHL centers...so far. Also no guarantee that either of them are dynamic players, aka big-time scoring contributors, either. That's not a knock on those two specific prospects either....that goes for pretty much everyone. |

Joe Smith, TB Times:
What Steve Yzerman won't be doing is dealing from his current lineup, so the likes of Mikhail Sergachev and Brayden Point won't be going anywhere. #TBLightning @TB_Times #NHLTradeDeadline @TBTimes_JSmith https://t.co/NTF2sP5b5P
#tblightning GM Steve Yzerman is unsure what he'll be able to do at deadline, noting there are "very limited" fits. What he won't be doing is dealing from his current roster. "We're trying to keep this team together with the hope of improving it." Here's more from our talk today
That will make dealing for McD challenging. Would require multiple picks and/or players. Does Raddysh, Howden, Foote and a first excite you? - airjan23
I understand Stevie Y's point, but too (frank)ing bad. TB is in "win now mode". you want a guy like McDonagh or Karlsson for two, not one, playoff pushes, you gotta pay. I'd ask him for the same deal that they offered us for MSL...I want one of Point/Sergachev a first and a second (that becomes another first if you make win the ECFs) |

obviosuly we are biased, but I can't see why Grabner can't get a late first rounder from a contender |

Point/Sergachev are not even remotely comparable to then-pending-UFA Ryan Callahan |

I think that;s what they're hashing out right now. I think plenty of clubs would give up a 2nd for Grabs, but they'll all be late 2nd rd picks. Lotta teams might scoff at a 1st for Grabner, so gotta hope the prospect that gets thrown in will be the gem of the trade |

NYI and pending UFA forward Josh Bailey are closing in on a multi-year contract extension. Still finalizing some details but likely to be an AAV of around $5M with a term of five or six years. #TradeCentre |

not necessarily, Cally had put up decent points up until that trade...
2014: 25pts in 45 games
2013: 31pts in 45 games
2012: 54 pts in 76 games
Point and Sergachev are no guarantee to be superstars |

I don't see why he's valued so low though. Any other 30 goal scorer that can kill penalties and play all over the lineup would be a 1st+ no questions asked |
