your great at shooting me down BUT you ahve no idea who to get
You havent outlined our top need & what it takes to get
Top centers arnet available ,gotta find one and pay for it ...
Johannsen to Nash. ? what theyd get Jones ?
cmon Jan give me more thaN No thanks ,,then who or what are we doing wasting this season - Dundee13
From my point of view, I agree with you that we need a top center. I just disagree that RNH is one (and I am not saying he's a bad player). When it comes down to it, these type of players just aren't usually available, because if you have one, you are very, very unlikely to give them up. You need to grow your own, and usually the teams that do that, draft one in the Top of the draft.
There is one top center that could potentially be available this summer, but he will cost a ton in the way of salary. If he were to actually hit the market, I would pay the price acknowledging what you've said that we need that type of player.

Tried to stay awake for women’s game but didn’t happen as I missed the OT/Shootout. It’s just funny how it looked like a bunch of Zuccarellos out there. Otherwise, I thought it was a great game and they missed a pretty vicious elbow on a Canadian that shoulda been 5 minutes. Great win tho - Slimtj100
One of the Canadian girls took her silver medal off immediately after they gave it to her... I'd take her on the Rangers! |

Everyone agrees with your premise about a #1 center.
Problem is, no team is going to trade their number 1 unless they are in serious cap trouble or have a glut of centers. Very rare that this happens. You have to hope one becomes a ufa or draft one.
RNH is Stepan with a worse contract and less defensive skill |

Dundee, I don’t operate in wild speculation and just throw stuff out. If you remember correctly, three years, I said get Grabner, they didn’t and then remediated that two years ago. Last year, I said get Brendan Smith at deadline, they did, and if AV had see his D correctly, they would have been in the ECF.
I said for McD that I wanted Marner or Nylander. My view hasn’t changed. I want no part of RNH. Johansen for Jones was a bold move but Nashville had a raft of young d-men so the impact wasn’t the same as it would have been if they lacked the depth. Plus, Johansen is a much better than player than RNH.
Propose something that to me makes sense and I will be on board. Get me a true #2 or #1 center. Nylander or Marner could be that. Plus with Chytil and Andersson, one or both of them will be on the team next year. |

This I will never understand. If one of them gets hurt there is going to be mayhem and Gorton will get the brunt of that. |

Glad to have changed your ways with the time out, which I had nothing to do with. Try responding respectfully especially when you get an answer that doesn’t rip you for the way you are acting. |
