yes....its the same reason we keep nuclear weapons away from dictators.

it is true that in the USA its a cultural issue, but it's much easier to restrict military assault weapons than to change an entire culture and fix that mess that they have there.

It also would help to have these schools not be walk in schools (i.e. all doors unlocked and able to enter from). Have all the doors locked while school is in session and have armed guards at each entrance with the only real entrance/exit being the front doors and you need to show student ID or be a parent else you are detained.

Wouldnt work. You could lock the door from the outside, but must be able to open from inside due to fire regulations. If the guard is outside hey are till vulnerable to being shot, and you would just need someone inside to open it(fanatics/psychopaths always seem to be able to get some weak minded fool). The budgets for most of these schools barely covers what they have, let alone adding more.

It is the bigger issue for sure. It's amplified with that culture having so many weapons available. NRA has completely hijacked the 2nd amendment and their people are taught pretty much nothing but how to hate each other. So much of their population goes through the military/police and see everything from a perspective of a killer.... killing people is glorified at every angle. People don't even notice how movies have moved onto the hero/good guy being a murdering psychopath killing out of revenge and all the moral messages leading people towards excepting this as noble rather than a line between right and wrong. It's the American way in everyone else's country as well. A nation of people who learned geography by joining the military and being deployed as an occupier feeling superior over their people because you are at the right end of the gun. It must be hard to give up that power you have on people once you get home to you gun collection.
- boonerbuck

wow booner you hit it dead on. Summed it up so well.
If only they realized THEY are whats wrong with the world with their rampant hatred towards anyone not american.

I'll add that their culture celebrates guns and have it as part of their pride and because of it have this problem. Thank god they dont celebrate nuclear weapons or we wouldnt have a planet left

It's a shame they don't have Tanev watching on crutches in the press box.

whats very strange is how the vast majority of mass shootings the last 30 years or so occur in schools.... why schools ?

I'd say that instead of armed guards every school region should have a psychologist on payroll

Hey now, they could have the magnificent Tanev for at least 5 regular season and 2-3 playoff games. Why wouldn’t they give up their future?

Funny how it changed from this?

(2/11/18) Tanev (undisclosed) will miss a week of action

If we trade Tanev to the east i guarantee he would become an iron man. If not, ASL can throw a kids steamed milk at Donna.

I'm not sure.

It kinda gets boring after that for the bad teams

We can move back to who we are selecting and who we are dealing at the draft.
Plus we can get everyones opinion on how to tank properly...oh wait, we get that almost daily anyways.😀

True story, years ago when the Canuck's really sucked we had two tickets and free parking, we parked and decided to watch the game in a bar. Left two tickets under my wiper blades, when we got back there was 4

I'm going to guess Hutton will not get moved for picks if moved at all. If he does it will be for a player of around equal salary...maybe the big player that can make plays but in a 3rd line role. Not that we don't need more 3rd liners.

Vegas seems to be doing quite well with a bunch of 3rd liners and 5/6 defensemen.
