You can have a assault rifle in Canada. Same licencing as handguns. You take a test and a background check which is not difficult to do. 19 is legal to own if you have no violent/drug criminal record only in the previous 5 years and claim to have no mental illness. They rely on your word only. You don't have to get any medical clearance.
Of course we are not Americans so we can make something like that work. - boonerbuck
exactly....americans are f*cked. Last year was something like 270 mass shootings by october, which is like 1 per day. Crazy
ANY gun purchase should have to be cleared by your Dr. and maybe a psychologist too. Especially in the USA where people seem to go insane and shoot up schools, concerts, nightclubs, churches etc on a daily basis. |

Gudbranson said these last 20+ games were huge for the team.
They're going for W's - VanHockeyGuy
No one in this organization knows how to build a team, it's all about selling tickets. |

It's totally about that, the TDL, Draft, July 1st will determine how well they did enticing new business this summer.
My guess is it'll be worse than this season. Apathy is a difficult thing to overcome.
Especially in the Vancouver market. |

If a person is dangerous and unstable, the first step to rehabbing them is to take away the tools that make them dangerous so you can give proper help. |

Based on what
Now that Dermott is up he's playing more, his AHL numbers are impressive for a first year d-man. This position has no foundatiion - neem55
Based on draft position and statistical analysis of probability he's a 25 percent chance to play 100 games in the nhl, to be as good as Tanev has been.... the odds are very, very slim, like 5 to 10 percent. Its increased by a factor of 5 due to him having a good drafty plus 1 year based of similar players in the nhl that produced at his level, but doesn't account for defensive lapses, only offensive ability, so yes, 50 percent is an optimistic number for him to turn out as good as Tanev.
Doesn't mean he's not a good prospect, just that you're over estimating how many 'good ' prospects actually become good, not average, players. |

It's not a gun issue, it's a culture issue. - A_SteamingLombardi
It is the bigger issue for sure. It's amplified with that culture having so many weapons available. NRA has completely hijacked the 2nd amendment and their people are taught pretty much nothing but how to hate each other. So much of their population goes through the military/police and see everything from a perspective of a killer.... killing people is glorified at every angle. People don't even notice how movies have moved onto the hero/good guy being a murdering psychopath killing out of revenge and all the moral messages leading people towards excepting this as noble rather than a line between right and wrong. It's the American way in everyone else's country as well. A nation of people who learned geography by joining the military and being deployed as an occupier feeling superior over their people because you are at the right end of the gun. It must be hard to give up that power you have on people once you get home to you gun collection.

But most of them are paid for. Wait until they have thousands of unsold tickets, it will probably never happen in a Canadian city but these prices would be falling if they had lots of unsold tickets. |
