he doesn't score that much in the playoffs.
he's overpaid and he comes with a big name. that's the type of player i would avoid as a gm.
you want complementary players not former "superstars" that you think will do well with a lesser role. find role players that actually will file the role. not an overpaid, underplaying vet. - RealityChecker
He wouldn't be the first former star player who helped a team make a playoff run in a lesser role.
Personally, I'd avoid him too.
I think the 1st round pick asking price is hilarious as well. But I don't think it's ridiculous that playoff teams are interested in him for the right price. |

Yeah, that asking price is ridiculous for Nash. Should be a 2nd at the most. - Nucker101
A 1st for vanek then, make it happen jimbo |

Vanek doesn't have the same rep unfortunately.
Aa a GM I'd 100% prefer to trade a 4th for Vanek than a 2nd for Nash though. |

i hear what you're saying.
i just go back to the belief that there is way too much confirmation bias amongst gm's.
i understand the knocks on vanek. however, there's a lot to denigrate nash's game as well.
the difference in trade value? largely reputation. |

The problem with gun laws is that it doesn't stop criminals from getting guns, it just drives it underground into the black market. That said, there's no need for AR-15s to be sold, nor for people to be able to buy guns at shows. Guns should only be sold in cop shops where people need to pass background, psychological exams and hold a valid hunting license. Ammo should also similarly be restricted to small amounts within a period.
Again, I'm not against gun control, the problem with gun control is that unless you destroy all guns and tear down the factories that make them, somehow, someway, a determined person will find a way to get a weapon to cause as much havoc as they can. Places like Australia which have completely outlawed guns and had their police go and take them from people still have gun violence, I don't imagine the States would be any different if they had the same laws. - DariusKnight
yes that's right, no one should be able to purchase an AR-15. Military issue only.
public should be restricted to handguns and hunting rifles only.
Then we dont get some punk buying an assault rifle and killing mass people in a night club in florida.
it may not completely remove it but ANY reduction in gun violence is a good thing. |

No need to even argue with these guys. Benning himself said they’re not trading him unless someone makes an offer too good to pass up.
Liljegren straight up is not too good to pass up - Nucker101
Yea.... I'd say if a2nd was thrown in it would be close but not good enough for me without a1st and conditional pick thrown in. As much as leaf fans JO over Lilly, he's not that good between the ears.

You can have a assault rifle in Canada. Same licencing as handguns. You take a test and a background check which is not difficult to do. 19 is legal to own if you have no violent/drug criminal record only in the previous 5 years and claim to have no mental illness. They rely on your word only. You don't have to get any medical clearance.
Of course we are not Americans so we can make something like that work.

wow lol, so Boston drafted 2 of the guys we'd end up hating in a future SCF loss
I believe the current Rangers GM was the guy in charge during that draft.
