The problem with gun laws is that it doesn't stop criminals from getting guns, it just drives it underground into the black market. That said, there's no need for AR-15s to be sold, nor for people to be able to buy guns at shows. Guns should only be sold in cop shops where people need to pass background, psychological exams and hold a valid hunting license. Ammo should also similarly be restricted to small amounts within a period.

Again, I'm not against gun control, the problem with gun control is that unless you destroy all guns and tear down the factories that make them, somehow, someway, a determined person will find a way to get a weapon to cause as much havoc as they can. Places like Australia which have completely outlawed guns and had their police go and take them from people still have gun violence, I don't imagine the States would be any different if they had the same laws.

- DariusKnight

Well said also like most governments the actual issues aren't being addressed. It's not all about guns and access to them...it goes much further than that.

I wouldn't be too fast to rule out Tryamkin's return. He's in a Canuck's uniform and has a team background on his Twitter page.

He also follows a bunch of the team as well, including Olli Juolevi.

His three year contract doesn't have an out clause.

Apparently if he pays back 2/3 of the remaining portion he can leave.

There would be a civil war if the state's ever tries to implement such laws.

Maybe that’s what they need...

Dont know if there are out clauses. If no out clause, a player can buyout his contract when pays 2/3 of the rest of contract to his team.

Tryamkin's biggest issue was ice time. It's not like we couldn't use a guy who can burn big minutes, and swat guys around

He'll be back. The KHL is a joke.

He has 2 years left, he's an All Star there, he's comfortable.

JB would need to sweeten the pot for him to leave, and give him assurances. Not sure how that would fly with TG.

If Edler or Tanev were dealt the story might change.

There was a Russian analyst on SN radio yesterday who mused (no real information, just feeling) that players know the NHL is the league to prove yourself in. That Tryamkin was still young enough that giving it another go would be appealing.

He made the comparison with a player on the Russian national team at the olympics who is a star in the KHL but is only managing 4th line duties at the olympics because he isn’t an “nhl” caliber player.

He already has more “upside” then most of the Csnucks D prospects. It doesn’t really matter where he develops. Having said that, he also likely has more upside then most of the current D players too

Exactly, we MIGHT have OJ on the team next year, aside from that there's zilch for D that can come in and take a job and big minutes.

The bonus is we have Edler for one more year so he'll be able to "teach" him.

He would look good in the Flyers system with their young, mobile D, wonder if there is a trade there somewhere?

Apparently he didn’t love the rain, or the homeless/drug use in Van, maybe big city USA would appeal to him more...

I stand by my comment when I say bloggers. I could care less what other posters think about the Canucks. I don't think I have read another bloggers article, without it being a complete dig at the Canucks organization when mentioned.
