Then you may wanna watch something other than sports, this is true of basically every sports owner ever.

No billionaire ever took over a team and didn't get involved at some point. It's the extent of which he's getting involved. If he's saying things like "i want you to go after more scoring" that's one thing. If he's saying "I want you to trade specifically for this player and give up a 1st round pick or your fired" thats another thing entirely.

Montreal in full tank mode. We have competition now. Very worried that Ottawa and Montreal will "pass" us. Maybe even Edmonton and Vancouver. The only good news is that Arizona is finally playing well and will likely pass us.

A lot of people seem to think this. I see nothing to suggest he's a top 6, let alone top line winger. If you play them together, they need a Selke candidate to balance that line out.

Everyone produces with Eichel. He makes everyone better. They still need to find ideal wingers for him. They aren't on the roster right now. To me, Okposo's been the best.

Agreed about Okposo. But I think Baptiste would be the most natural goal scorer Eichel has ever played with. Neither Okposo nor Reinhart have his finishing ability imo. Hey, maybe Mittelstadt can be a 2C and ROR can be the selke candidate

I'm just hoping one of the two turns into a solid third line player. I'm disappointed that they haven't taken advantage of the opportunity this year. Next year's camp is huge for them. Fasching too.

I was expecting them to be full time this year too, but part of that I think is Botts. They didn't get the opportunity this year really. Baptiste scoring and being benched the next night comes to mind.

I’m on board with Baptiste, I want to see him with Eichel. I always think of how well he played with McDavid in Erie, why wouldn’t that translate with Eichel? Worth a shot.

Baileys hands make Varadas look like Connolly’s. Bottom 6 for sure, WAYYYYYY better than Larsson

He's got the speed to keep up. He won't finish like a top line winger should, but totally agree. Worth a shot.

Was completely wrong about him. I'm a goalie, usually I can just...well...tell.

His style is so wild I couldn't imagine it translating, but he is the definition controlled chaos. He can be flapping around like a bird, somehow he stays square. It really is amazing to watch. Hopefully he beats out Lehner by this time next season.

yes there is something special about him. Plus it sounds stupid, but hes got this awesome personality that I think teammates gravitate to. Hes got some Marty Biron in him

I have a feeling that Baptiste being benched is less about giving Nolan, Ect. more playing time and more of a sign they actually like him and want to bring him along the slowly/ the right way. The are sending him a message about staying consistent every night.

Could be wrong tho

I think there's a very legit chance that they see Mittlestadt with Eichel long term. There's three guys at the top of draft that they might see as an ideal fit too.

I'm tired of the current crop of rotating wingers that look good with him, and very very average without him. I don't see any of them as the answer.

That's why I'm excited for Baptiste. When was the last time someone saw Reinhart or Okposo deke a goalie out for a goal on a partial breakaway. Too bad Smith is hurt. The one thing I was excited about for the rest of the year was seeing Smith-eichel-baptiste

I just see them as part of the current crop. They all project as third line wingers. I hope someone exceeds that, but these aren't young prospects anymore.

I want to be excited about something down the stretch. I wish it were Guhle.
