Then do we really want him? I mean, for the money you would have to pay and the assets you would have to give up?
Pass - Hockey_Reverend
The only way I would want him is if it was in free agency. No way I'd give up what Ottawa would want for him. But even then I wouldn't want to pay him the money he's probably gonna want. |

It's brilliant. He traded a guy I've never heard of for a pick that will likely turn into a guy I will never know of. |

The trades happening recently are the type of moves the sports media thrive off of on the actual day. They must be getting a little sad. |

Weird...Im sure Bergevin could have traded Jakub for a slower defenceman with a crappier cap hit and contract.
Bergie is losing a step. |

I for one am thankful that the Fehr trade happened before the deadline..
I couldn't stomach 4 hours of hockey insiders talk in-depth about what intangibles Eric Fehr brings to the Sharks.. |

Washington Capitals are now the Stanley cup favourite after this trade, Jerabek is a strong top 4 D, making an already elite D group even better, by far the best in the league.

If done properly, it doesn't take 8 years to turn a franchise around.
But to answer your question, they're gonna keep him forever.... which is a bad contract to own overall but it's not like having him in goal for the next 8 years will be something I'm mad about. |

This is the wrong thread to be throwing nonsense around like that. Take the Leafs for example. They have nice young players but they're guaranteed to lose to every team in the playoffs and probably require another complete rebuild before they're able to compete for the Prince of Wales trophy. |
