Duthie and Simmons are probably the only 2 guys that think the Leafs should trade Marner or Nylander.. - PatC80
Simmons is a moron. Not only is his opinion almost always wrong he never backtracks and holds grudges. And if he does backtrack on something it's because he forgot which side he was on.
He will never accept Marner because he was 100% on the "Leafs should draft Hanifin" train. No matter what Marner does it'll never be enough. So he slags him in his terrible Sunday columns almost every week. |

Love that train.
Also love the fact the Leafs didn't take it.
I like Marner though. |

Something about receiving a slapshot in the face.
In the same week as Weber being shut down?
Just before the trade deadline?
This is genius! |

While it's always difficult to compare forwards and defensemen....
I'm still on the Hanifin train. But I can totally understand you for being happy with Marner with no regrets about it. Good player. |

Guys, there has to be a happy medium. Yes, it's idiotic to suggest the Leafs would trade Marner or Nylander for McDonagh.
But you're also not getting him for a pile of garbage. 4th liners and lottery tickets (2nd round picks) aren't going to do it. |

Yeah, before it was Nylander for defensive help.
I for one am down with keeping Nylander. He plays hockey pretty good and is better at the D than people give him credit. |

as long as you didn't draft strome top 10, you really shouldn't be disappointed.
