Tampa= they should definitely be spending futures for this kind of move. Do they play him RHD, move Sergachev down or to right?

Wash= Not sure what they have left for futures for the next few seasons. He'd be a great fit for them though moving Djoos down.

Boston= Same issue as Tampa. Move him to RHD or Krug/Chara? Also not sure if they'd want to spend assets now.

If I was the Rangers' GM, I would do this deal in a heartbeat.

I would go as far as to say that anything less than a Conference Finals appearance by the Caps will mean Trotz is for sure gone while MacLellan would be on an extremely tight leash.

I think Lou should approach McDonagh and say:

"Hey, remember what the Habs traded you for? Yea. That's how little they though of you. How about you join up with us so you can beat up on them 4/5 times a season?"

tampa seems like a good fit.

washington might be the most desperate. burakaovsky, johansen, a couple 1sts and their goalie prospect is all the have. they'd blow their load on the trade...but they should be going all out for 2 more years than burn it down imo.

Sure I fully expect them to ask but as you suggest I expect the Leafs to walk away if those two and Kapanen are involved. I think management likes them too much for the future.
