The Bruins are playing better than the Leafs; all the underlying stats say so and obviously so does their record.

But it is hockey and a hot goalie can make up for a lot of deficiencies, so while I think a Leafs win over BOS in a 7 game series would be an upset, not massively so; we're not just squeaking in here on a wing and prayer: we've been playing pretty decent hockey too, just not nearly as dominant as BOS has played.

I'd honestly rather play the Bolts in the first round though.

Tampa Bay plays more open than the Bruins do so that match-up probably would be easier for our forwards to score goals but Tampa Bay's forwards literally lead the league in scoring so they'd probably tear the Leafs D to shreds. Neither match-up is a good one.

It's only because of the weak division. Otherwise we'd be a lottery team. It'll be 5 years before we play the Right Way.

Never said they couldn't. For the record, I don't think the Leafs will beat BOS in a round 1 matchup, with BOS having home ice advantage. But I don't think it'll be a 4-0 sweep either. I could see it going to 6 or 7 games.
