As I said on Sportscentre. I believe the Leafs interest is targeted on Ryan McDonagh. Not saying they get him, but still in on the fun.

It would be stupid for the Leafs to trade Dermott for McDonagh.

McDonagh has 1 year left on his deal and then he can walk for nothing. Dermott is just getting started. Makes no sense to trade him.

I think the Leafs can do better than Brassard. I'd like to see Godfather Lou fleece St. Louis... who must be getting a little desperate at this point... I think they scoring as their playoff participation is coming into question.

Karlsson doesn't get a raise for another year, Ryan might have some salary retained, Lucic might get moved to a separate team; it's a lot of variables but the Oilers like to panic sometimes.

Nope. Zero interest in trading prospects for a guy who has 1 year left on his deal at this point in time. Maybe in a few years the Leafs can start doing poop like that but right now, it's a huge mistake.

He's had some injuries lately, but he's a top D in this league when healthy, and the Leafs need a veteran presence on the back end beyond a Polak and Hainsey.

Anyway - you guys have your opinions - I have mine...I'm cool with that, but I bet Lou wouldn't be able to get YES!!!!! out of his mouth fast enough. Then he'd grab the boys and head over to the Real Sportsbar for beers before he went the the airport to pick McDonagh up himself.
