What I mean is......is the salary/years worth while in the long run, or is he going to start declining after 4 more years, and then NYR/Any of team be regretting it for remainder of contract. He's not exactly a good defensive player either

I think he is. Is he's Crosby, McDavid, etc., but I think he occupies the tier right below, and I think he's a rock solid Top 6-7 center in the NHL. To me, I would pay the price for him, and hope that you hit on enough of these young players on entry level deals to makeup for his salary cap figure. And then you wouldn't waste the remainder of Hank's time here (which I understand isn't the primary consideration, but it's one of many).

Saw Dave for a few years in a row at Jones Beach and he was Great, w/ a couple of those 20 min. jam sessions included though. Last two years it has sucked..no more
