Illya. Need a leader. He’s gonna lead the OAR to a gold medal

Wouldn’t cost as much either

Gold medal, lol. Have you seen the team's playing there. It's like the NIT tournament or worse with Russia having a few high-end players.

I am not even saying that I disagree with Kovy coming (I am kind of neutral), but using that crap ass Olympic tournament to boost his leadership cred is funny.

I think Nash is a much more complete player, but JVR will pot more goals
- mdw7413

7 year deal would take JVR to age 35. 3 year deal for Nash would take him to age 38. Easy choice.

I want to see him healthy first.

But even if he isn't worth the money, only 3 years left of it

Loves the Rangers and from the area obviously, but not sure he would want to be on a rebuild.
- mdw7413

We could make this rebuild go real quick though and be back in the playoffs by next year. Sign JVR, get some help on D and we’re right back in it.

Kreider Zib Buch
Miller Chytil JVR
Andersson Hayes Debrusk

Skjei Carlo
Smith Shattenkirk
Gilmoure? Pionk? DeAngelo?

I think he's a second pair defender that is a good PP guy that is average defensively. I don't think the deal will be horrible because it's only for four years, but I don't think it's great either.

Did you check out Burton's response to you, in the last blog? Heartbreaking stuff. You're probably gonna cry 'Lindsey Vonn style'.

He'll be 34 soon. So age 37 for Nash. I apologize. We've seen enough of Nash.

I have no problem having a goal scorer that may be a little selfish on the team. I think a team can incorporate one guy like that in an otherwise stable room. But, as a leader, no thanks.
