USA lost and is out. Our mini-Oshie got stopped in the shootout
- YuenglingJagr

Once I heard NBC was broadcasting it, I tuned out, and wait for results online. Sad, but I can’t stand them.

Not necessarily. Could be a bruise, and a few games off. Until the get an X-ray and MRI, there’s no way to tell. Stay positive!

man that would hurt...

this is when depth is tested...

Lindbolm looked great filling in for Simmonds on line 3, Patrick looked good filling in on PP 2.

TK, that will be tough.

I think they bring up Martel, hope it is only a handful of games. G and Coots are playing lights out, I think they could hold for a short while

love Jake but he has to stop with the give aways, the team needs to stop, better teams will convert those into goals.

Depth is getting tested now. Yikes.

3 straight games without a penalty is incredible. I credit Hak for having this team razor sharp ready

bought new skates and took a shot off the foot on Monday, the new skates are amazing, hurt for a second but AOK. That doesn't make me feel good about TK, means he really got it good.

TK took that shot off the skate then came back and played significant time so I thought he was ok. But he was definitely limping after one of Jake's goals.

This isn't a straight knock on Hak, but they meed to stop letting in the first goal. 4 of the last 6, they have let in the first goal.

My Game Observations:

- Huge 2 points. Jake's comments at the end are very telling. this team has taken everything Hextall has said and ran with it and not only do they want to make the playoffs they want the 1 seed.

- 3rd pairing needs an upgrade either by trade or in house promotion. Yes i understand their is a plan for the future but expectations have changed. I understand this team might not look like a cup contender but they have been one of the best teams in the league since late December/January. If Hextall said he owed it to the team to get a goalie he also owes it to them to get a better 3rd pairing.

- 4th line is actually playing ok(i know, we aren't allowed to say anything good about them). They keep pucks deep, win board battles. They are all vet guys and know what to do.

- Lyon played well. Second goal looked like an AHL goalie. Way overcommited where an AHL player might shoot that but in NHL they make that extra pass.

- Not sure what happens if Konecny is out. I don't see anyone from the 4th line moving up or Leier moving to the top line. Maybe the move Raffl up, move Weise to 3rd line and Leier on 4th? Could Martel be brough back up. He plays a Konecny type game.

- Again solid win and now I am anxious to see Mrazek tomorrow night

good option and he is hot. Does he have speed? I am not sure. I just think with Coots and G, speed works.

I like that you take Lehtera out even though you know it won't happen

I would have split couts and G, just for the time being as well. To get some 5v5 balance.

I will give him some credit for his last 3 games. He's been better.

Is Martel still out? He was fairly impressive during his short stay.

No he is back.

Think he scored 2 goals his first game back.

His skillset is something close to konecny's.

He’d prob be the first call up, however I would try Weal in Konecny’s spot first.

For line balance I prefer to keep weal on the Patrick line and would be Martel first line. If weal could get some those chances on net last net that line would of potted a few

Depending if Konecny is out and how long i would just insert Martel into the top line spot. If you move Weal now your rearranging two lines instead of just one. Plus you can always slide Voracek onto the top line every odd shift.

Giroux - Couturier - Martel
Weal- Patrick - Voracek
Raffl - Laughton - Lindblom
4th line

If he comes up, slots into that role and gives us half the production TK does, I won't be complaining.

Personally I don't like Weal and Voracek together. Too much passing. Swap Raffl and Weal. Just my opinion.

They finally adjusted the PK! Looked great the last three games. If Konecny is out I am fine with it. This team will work through it. Next man up.
