Personally, I wouldn't trade for Karlsson without the guarantee of an extension considering how much he's going to cost in assets even without one. I know he isn't eligible for one til July 1, but I'd need to know the extension is as close to done as legally possible.

That’s crazy, plus his cap hit will decimate the team. To me, he’s lost a step since his knee issue, and he has plenty of turnovers. I don’t see what the big deal about him is. Is he good, of course, is he worth what some people are projecting, no way! Not on board at all!

Nope!

I’d try to land a guy like Odouya for relatively little, and try to upgrade a winger to plug in on the 3rd or 4th line for far less than acquiring Karlsson. It doesn’t upset the chemistry, nor create cap issues on his next contract. The Flyers got here by being prudent.....acquiring assets, and developing young talent. I see him as blowing up everything they have accomplished, and adding him would not make the Flyers the cup favorite. Just my humble opinion.
