Last night was a good example that you can’t judge a a game by the score sheet. On paper it looks like Florida outplayed the leafs but I think marleau alone had more scoring chances then all of Florida did.

The Leafs uncharacteristically dominated most of the 2nd period. Florida couldn't get out of the zone. Not sure what kind of numbers that translated into.

The Leafs had so many chances last night, Luongo was fantastic.

He played great. Kind of a stinker on the lone goal but he made a lot of tough saves.

It was a tricky play for the goaltender actually. If you look i think the pass was more for Brown, and Luongo thought so too. Then JVR came out nowhere and fired it from a different angle than he anticipated and caught him off guard.

I can.

This is the team that traded for Phaneuf. It's also the team that gave up Kyle Turris, a 1st, a 3rd, Shane Bowers and the Hamburglar for Matt Duchene.

- TheMussel

To be fair, Duchene has been a point per game player over the past 20 games after stumbling brutally out of the gate.

Hot take: If you remove either the 2018 1st -or- the 2017 1st (Bowers) I think the trade is actually decent. Duchene IS the better player.

Personally, i think that Turris is a better player then Duchene. Hopefully Ottawa's owners let Dohrion continue the fine work he is doing.

Karlsson is until a deal is done, and who knows what he'll do July 1st, so that's the problem.

Agreed. They overpaid by a 1st rounder - which may, or may not, turn out to haunt them.

For a team that's likely going to have to start rebuilding those 1sts are gold.

He played great from my eyes

Drop it man, you have no argument

He never does but that doesn't seem to stop him from still arguing.

Which was worse than his season numbers.

Your eyes deceived you. He gave up some poop goals last year.

I said he played worse in the playoffs than he did during the season. The stats proved it, the argument is over, you were wrong.

Leafs have 19 games left in 46 days.
Bruins have 23 games left in 46 days.

Somehow, the Leafs are gonna be the tired ones

- PatC80

Somehow, you think I said the Leafs would be the tired ones. I said Andersen might be tired if they keep playing him into the ground. Notice the difference? Kind of like yesterday, you see what you want to see when you read my posts.
