That was the infamous 1999 trade deadline. Holland traded for Wendel Clark, Bill Ranford, Ulf Samuelsson and Chris Chelios. Wings won their first 6 playoff games and then lost 4 straight to Colorado. Shanahan was acquired in October of 96 for Keith Primeau, Paul Coffey and a 1st.
