Wow do you ever irrationally love Panarin. Even in an off-season Saad is a much more valuable player. Almost same number of goals. Saad better defensively and is great on PK. Kane not mad at trade - rumour was Kane and Toews both made it known they’d love Saad back. May even have known what it would take. Of course Kane indicated that he’d miss Panarin - what would you like him to say publicly? Kane also said that there had been absolutely no contact between Panarin and him long after the trade - that is not how close friends act. Savoy you have never mentioned that fact.

As for replacing Panarin as Kane’s LW hard to blame Bowman. It is clearly Q’s fault. DeBrincat has been on the team all year. He is perfectly suited - a sniper who shoots off-wing right-handed as a LW. Just like Panarin. Should have been playing with Kane all year - may already have 30 goals.

We signed Panarin as a free-agent. Gave him last contract knowing he was going to be traded. Not coincidence that amount was same as Saad. Trade may have been in place since before that time. Hawks’ management had tired of his bologna in the same way as they tired of TT’s bologna. We got Saad back for a free-agent. Works for me. Let him celebrate with Tarasenko wearing a Columbus sweater. Let him race back to Russia to play his best hockey after taking off his Columbus sweater. Glad I don’t have to care about these things anymore.

Your analysis has little if any merit. Stats don't lie. The rest is just BS because you don't know what Panarin thinks. Saad is not now nor is it likely he will ever be anyway near as good as Panarin. Bowman spit on Saad a few years ago when Saad deserved to be paid and Bowman booted him off to Columbus. So what changed? CYA for the Toews mistake is what changed. But it backfired and Bowman broke up the highest scoring line in the NHL for nothing.

Doug MacLean just said on Sportsnet that his feeling is the #Blackhawks need to figure out their management and coaching before they look to analyze what they have on the team.

This was something that I was hearing in regards to moving a core piece; the Hawks management (more Rocky and John) needed to decide who's steering this ship before making big moves.

Yea...You see the whole picture. You talk like a politician, half story, ignore important other points.

Yes Panarin a a supreme talent. Would rather have him purely on ability. There is concern if Panarin shows up if he is unhappy with his team or his performance on the line he plays on. We get it when Bowman wanted to change the style of play, so he opted for Saad over Panarin. Not saying I would have made same trade. But you have to wait and see if Bowman upgrades by adding more of the larger, hard to play against forwards to go along with the larger Saad instead of Panarin.

Sikula is coming in. Beyond that we just wait and see what Bowman does. I do not trust him to make a good trade each time. The Murphy trade is questionable unless Murphy plays better. That will not happen with Q here.

If Bowman cannot see or admit that his team is lacking big time in gritty players, then he is not going to last in Chicago. You can argue for or against the Saad trade, but do not make blanket ignorant statements like Bowman broke up that high scoring line for nothing.

If you want to question thee Saad trade despite knowing Toews had health- body issues, then you have a point. Because it makes less sense to make the trade knowing Toews is no sure thing with wear and tear/durability affect on his physicsl play. Maybe Bowman figured this and still wanted to make the trade. We don't know about that
